Azan 13th at Senior

Sedalia Democrat

Marcia Azan, of Sedalia, shot 92 on Wednesday and finished 13th in the championship division of the Missouri Women’s Golf Association Senior Championship in Bonne Terre. She had a two-day total of 181.

 

Barbara Berkmeyer, of St. Louis, won her ninth  consecutive title with a 153, five strokes ahead of Harriette Meyers, of New Madrid.

 

Peg Seifner, of Marshall, was seventh after the first round in Flight A of the open division but was disqualified Wednesday.

 

In Flight B of the open division, Olive Malter, of Marshall, finished second at 192, four strokes back of Deanne Estes, of Cape Girardeau. Judy Schroeder, of Marshall, was 11th (201); Colleen Mueller, of Versailles, 18th (207); and Wanda Elsea, of Marshall, was 21st (209).

 

Cheryl Eppenauer, of Versailles, was 18th in Flight C, shooting 227.
